K-12 Cybersecurity Outlook 2020-21

What EdTech Leaders Need to Know about School Cybersecurity

Join Technology Resource Advisors, for our featured keynote presentation on the outlook of K-12 cybersecurity for the upcoming 2020-2021 school year. TRA has invited expert Doug Levin, President of EdTech Strategies, LLC/K-12 Cybersecurity Resource Center, to discuss the K-12 cybersecurity landscape and the trends he’s seeing across the country as more and more districts are falling victim to cyberattacks with the introduction of remote learning.

As schools have increased their reliance on technology for teaching, learning, assessment, and school operations, so too have they increased their exposure to cybersecurity risks. Based on data about publicly-disclosed school cybersecurity incidents since 2016 on the K-12 Cyber Incident Map (https://k12cybersecure.com/map/), this presentation will help educational technology leaders understand why schools are at-risk, what the most common cybersecurity issues schools experience are, and how they can best respond to this emerging issue.
