Many small business leaders believe their true cost of technology support is either A) the salary of their internal IT employee or B) the support bills from their vendor.

Subpar IT support models that lack process and do not adhere to best practice implementation will lead to a drain of employee productivity, low employee morale, and heightened levels of risk & exposure – all which can have an immeasurable negative impact on an organization.  Technology is a critical part of most organizations’ success yet it is still treated by many as an annoying expense that should be as inexpensive as possible.  My recommendation is to view technology support in the same manner as legal and accounting support – a great lawyer or accountant is worth every penny.
