I carry an iPad to all of my meetings and I get asked quite frequently if I can use Microsoft Office on the device.

Until recently, the answer was no.  On March 27th Microsoft launched Office for iPad.  Office for iPad includes Excel, OneNote, PowerPoint, and Word, and the apps are free to download and use to read Office documents.  However, creating or editing documents in Excel, PowerPoint, or Word requires users to purchase an Office 365 subscription.  This product release will provide the functionality for iPad users to be more productive and moves the needle further towards hardware platform independence.
